Another summer sailing season is winding to a close………..sigh……….

LABOR DAY REGATTA……..is this weekend, so look for back-to-back races on Saturday, weather permitting. Last chance to pick up some hardware for this year………and the only chance to bring home a Juno Cup (for last place in the last race).

THE CLYC YEAR END BANQUET AND AWARDS CEREMONY…….is also this weekend. In fact it’s Sunday, Sept. 4 at the Yacht Club. Dinner will be served starting at 5:30 p.m., catered by Louie’s. Wine, beer and soft drinks will be provided. The awards program will start at 6:30. All this for $6.00 per person.

RETURN YOUR CLUB TRAVELING TROPHIES………..to Jeff Nicholas (jnichls@cltel.net or 641-357-7424) as soon as possible, but definitely in time for the Year End Banquet, so he can award them to this year’s winners.

BLOOPER AWARD NOMINATIONS……..continue to come in. But more nominations are welcome. Protect yourself from possibly receiving this year’s Blooper Award by nominating someone else who screwed up mightily in, on or around the water this season.
