GOOD LUCK TO THE CLEAR LAKE X BOATERS AND OPTI RACERS……………..who are racing this weekend at Lake Pewaukee in Wisconsin.  Riley Cooney, Danny Starbeck, Billy Starbeck and Sam Ludwig will represent CLYC at X Championships………..and Elle Ebeling and Danny Starbeck will do the same for the Optimist Championships.  I may have missed a few of the participants, and if so, sorry, we’ll get you next time around.

INTERLAKES REGATTA…..is in a week and a half, and we are the host lake. Registration is Thursday, Aug. 2 from 3-8:00 pm at the Yacht Club.  Races are Friday-Sunday, Aug. 3-5.  Attached to this newsletter is the Notice of Race (NOR) which contains all the pertinent information.  You can also find the NOR as well as the Sailing Instructions (SIs) on the opening page of the CLYC website.

A couple of special reminders……………

All CLYC members are invited to attendthe Friday (Aug. 3) evening regatta event at the Yacht Club and the Saturday (Aug. 4) evening regatta event at Jeff Brakke’s (1929 North Shore Drive)………BUT IN ORDER TO ATTEND you must purchase tickets during registration at the Yacht Club on Thursday between 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

We always need spectator boats.  Don’t be bashful……please, please, please check at the Yacht Club and City Dock for spectators or third crews that are looking to get out on the lake.  It’s part of being a good host lake……….and a great way to meet nice folks from other lakes.

HOW ABOUT A FREE CONCERT AT THE SURF?……….On Thursday, August 2, the Nashville folk rock group, Smoking Flowers, will play a free concert at the Surf Café.  The concert just happens to coincide with the regatta, which will make it all the more fun. If you’ve heard them play at the Outing Club during their last couple of visits, you’ll of course want to come see them again.  If you haven’t heard them, check out www.thesmokingflowers.com. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.  The music starts at 7:30.

DID YOU GET YOUR TROPHY PHOTO TAKEN AT THE CLYC PARTY?………If not, you have two more chances:

Sunday, July 29, 2:00-2:30 p.m. at the Yacht Club

Saturday, August 11, 6:00-6:30 p.m. at the Yacht Club
