We got a race in last weekend, which means that Byron Beasley got in his third club race of the season…….nuff said.

HOBIE REGATTA THIS WEEKEND……….The Hobies are holding their Division 7 Regatta this Saturday and Sunday. But this shouldn’t have a big effect on our club races.  The plan is to run the Hobie course on the eastern part of the big lake and to run the club races on the western part of the big lake.

THE MAKEUP DAD/MOM/LAD/LASS………is this Sunday, August 26 at 2:00 p.m.  Parents who will be driving the X Boats need to start preparing themselves for the eye rolling, snickers, chuckles and guffaws that will be emanating incessantly from their crews from the moment you leave the dock.

BLOOPER AWARD NOMINATIONS………..are still open.  Make sure you submit your rendition of other people’s embarrassing moments to Stu Oltrogge (clyciowa@gmail.com), so that he can present them at the Year End Banquet.

RETURN YOUR CLYC TRAVELING TROPHIES……….to Mark Tesar (mtesar@cltel.net) the new Trophymeister, as soon as you can so that he can present them to this season’s rightful owners at the Year End Banquet.

YEAR END BANQUET………is Sunday, September 2.  That’s all I know so far.  When more details are released by the Commodore, you will all be the first to know.

ILYA CHAMPIONSHIPS……….are over.  Clear Lake was well represented in both the E and MC fleets.  There wasn’t much wind.  Emily Oltrogge brought home a trophy.  More to follow……..maybe.
